NCCEF finances clean energy, efficiency and resilience projects by partnering with existing financial institutions in North Carolina as well as through direct lending. We aim to thereby both accelerate the clean energy transition and strengthen the existing infrastructure of community institutions.
Our Programs
Residential Solar Financing
Solar energy makes our communities more resilient and can save money on energy bills over time. NC Clean Energy’s solar financing program enables homeowners and landlords to invest in solar panels and battery storage without hidden fees. We work with vetted contractors who can install in every county in North Carolina, and parts of South Carolina. Our loan is accessible for people with limited credit as long as they are able to afford the monthly payments. This loan allows more people to take advantage of the federal tax credits and incentives available for solar power.

Electrify Asheville Buncombe County (Electrify ABC)
Electrify ABC is a pilot program brought to you by a public-private coalition comprised of the City of Asheville, Buncombe County, the North Carolina Clean Energy Fund, Self-Help Credit Union, Blue Horizons Project and Let's Go Electric. The program encourages local residents to embrace electrification by replacing fossil fueled appliances with electric alternatives that will foster healthier and more comfortable living environments.
